Lluvia Group’s acquisition of Afoodable Group took place during the early stages of the Covid pandemic in 2020. Originally a division of Lake Foods, Afoodable officially opened its new plant in February 2020, located right in the Food Production industrial area of Montague Gardens, Cape Town.
It’s been a year since The LLuvia Group participated in this strategic acquisition and Joint Venture with Afoodable. Appointing Jack Friedman as the leader of this enterprise, who had one focus in mind: to complement the existing business structures and achieve its future growth ambitions.
Established in 1990, Afoodable is a privately owned South African business with a world-class vision of producing quality liquid marinades and sauces for the local and export markets. The company produces an extensive range of its own unbranded products as well as acts as a manufacturer and co-packer for larger local companies. Afoodable also produces an extensive selection of ethnic products for a group of local and international exporters. Export is done in conjunction with brand marketers, both locally and abroad.
